- **Anonymous**: "I just spent four days at this cozy retreat. The interior of the place was very much as described in the photos. The view from the back porch is very beautiful, and I even got to see a deer grazing in the sandy beach and drinking from the lake.  The location is very close to the quaint downtown area and local attractions. I had a very enjoyable stay, and very much appreciated the free ticket to Biltmore, which saved me a lot of money. 
The only reason I am rating this four stars is because the mattress in the bedroom is clearly past its prime. I was traveling alone, so it wasn’t too much of an issue, but it is concave in the middle." (8/5)

We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony that looks out to Jordan Lake. We took numerous walks and strolled to the coffee shop and restaurants that are in the Flat Rock Village area. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen, that has all the amenities needed. Would love to stay here again!! Thank you!!" (10/5)

The property has had a face lift and this particular unit has been modernized with white walls and nice flooring.  The pool and small lake on site are really nice amenities.  I also like walking next door around the neighboring lake.  This is about 5 minutes from the Flat Rock Village Park which is one of the nicest parks you will find.  You can walk to breakfast at the Flat Rock Village Bakery--one of the best in Western NC.  Hendersonville also has a great walking/exploring main street with lots of shops and West First Wood Fired Pizza...they make their own pasta.  20 minutes to the west is Dupont State Park with easily accessed waterfalls.    The property is older but the surroundings are so gorgeous with plantings/forest that it would be a travesty to choose a Holiday Inn over this organic, charming property. The managers are professionals. They left nothing to chance and were welcoming." (10/5)
